About Knights Family Mental Health Support
A Guide for Families Who Are Doing Their Best
We know what it feels like to love someone who is struggling — and to feel completely unprepared for what that means. That's why we do this work.
My story
From Overwhelmed to Equipped
Hello, and welcome. My name is Patrick Hamilton Jr., BSN, RN, PMH-BC. Throughout my nursing career, I have had the privilege of caring for individuals and families facing some of life's most difficult mental health challenges. One lesson has remained constant: Families often need support just as much as the individual receiving treatment. Many families leave appointments with unanswered questions. They want to help but aren't sure how. They worry about saying the wrong thing. They struggle to understand complex healthcare systems. Knights Family Mental Health Support was created to bridge that gap. My goal is to provide families with compassionate guidance, practical education, and a trusted place to ask questions so they can move forward with greater confidence. Although I am a Registered Nurse and board-certified in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, the services provided through Knights Family Mental Health Support are non-clinical consultation and education, and are not a substitute for medical or mental health treatment. It would be an honor to support your family.
What guides my work
The Values Behind Every Session
Compassion Without Judgment
Every family comes to me at a different point in their journey. I meet you exactly where you are — with warmth, patience, and zero judgment.
Empowerment Over Dependence
My goal is never to make you dependent on me. I give you the tools, language, and confidence to advocate for your loved one and yourself.
Clarity in Complexity
The mental health system is complicated. I translate the clinical into the practical — so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
Whole-Family Thinking
Mental health challenges affect everyone in the household. I help the whole family system heal, not just the individual at the center of the crisis.
